Hello,

I am LD.  I started DSD to sort through the mountains of diet and fitness advice.  I think people suffer from information overload when it comes to this subject.  Diet and Fitness isn’t as difficult as people would have you believe.  I hope this site can be a simple resource for everything you need to know to get the results you want, without all the excess clutter.

In January of 2009 I weighted 210lbs, at 5’10″ that put me at at BMI of 30.3  anything over 30 is considered obese (not overweight, obese.)   I had a body fat percentage of 24.7%.  I didn’t feel unhealthy, and I didn’t even mind being that heavy.  What bothered me was that A few months earlier I was 205, and a few months before that I was 200.  If I continued doing nothing I would have continued to gain weight.  I decided to make some changes and get my life together.  As of this writing I am 176lbs, and continuing to lose.  I hope to use this site to highlight the techniques I used to lose weight and get in shape.
